Clinical Development and Medical Affairs
Adrien Sipos, MD PhD is the President and Chief Medical Officer of PRAXICO Inc. In her role, she provides strategic and operational leadership and consultancy in clinical development and medical affairs.
Prior to joining PRAXICO, Dr Sipos was the Head of Biogens’ late stage immunology portfolio. Before that she was Vice President at Sanofi Genzyme, building and leading a global medical affairs team in rheumatology and played a significant role in developing the immunology footprint of the company. Prior to her 2 years tenure at Sanofi, Dr Sipos spent more than 25 years at Eli Lilly and Co., in clinical development and medical affairs roles, with increasing responsibilities. In her last assignment at Lilly, as global senior director, she led a global clinical development team in the musculoskeletal, women’s health, autoimmune and neuroscience therapeutic areas, in addition to providing global strategic medical affairs support to the company’s launched osteoporosis products. Before that, Dr Sipos was a Clinical Development Lead for the emerging markets, building a drug development blueprint for China and other developing countries.
Dr Sipos holds an MD degree with summa cum laude and a certification in internal medicine from the University of Debrecen, Medical School, Hungary. She has PhD in clinical immunology. She has also worked as a postgraduate research fellow at the University of Oxford, UK. Her major research accomplishment related to discovery of granulocyte surface receptors in various autoimmune diseases (SLE, scleroderma). She published in numerous first tier journals and co-authored several book chapters.
